I am Salman and he is Shah Rukh, says Salman

Mumbai: Bollywood heavyweights and arch rivals Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan just can’t get enough of each other! Wondering why? Well these guys don’t share friendship anymore yet their existence seems to be incomplete without one another. Their enmity looks stronger than the bond of friendship.

Fans of these two Pathans of the Tinsel Town have been earnestly looking forward to see either of them extending an olive branch to the other. But in all probability it looks implausible at least in the near future.

Last week when Shah Rukh Khan cycled with his daughter Suhaana, paparazzi was ready to grab images of the father and daughter duo out in the public. And fans too had gathered in great number to catch a glimpse of their favourite star cycling like a commoner.

However, SRK’s move to cycle along with his daughter looked as if he was aping Salman, for the latter often cycles even to shoot.

Talking to a tabloid, an eyewitness while narrating how Salman dealt with reporters recently, said, “Salman is very friendly with the photographers and he usually chats up with them whenever he gets an opportunity. So the minute he stepped out for a photo-op at a car launch, the photographers told him about how SRK informed everyone that he was going cycling.”

“Apparently all Sallu did was smile and acknowledged that he had seen the pictures. A few photographers even asked Salman why he never invites anyone when he goes cycling. To this, Salman said, `Isiliye mein Salman hoon aur woh Shah Rukh` (That’s because I am Salman and he is Shah Rukh),” the tabloid quoted the eyewitness as saying.

Tom Cruise bowled over by Salman Khan's Dhinka Chika - DJ Suketu

DJ Suketu was the only resident DJ manning the consoles at the Tom Cruise welcome bash that took place over the weekend in Mumbai.

Attended by not just the who's who but the 'rarely-seen' in the Bollywood fraternity such as Yash Chopra and Subhash Ghai, the night came alive not just for Cruise's ardent fans but for Cruise himself who was quite bowled over by Suketu's prowess with music.

The one remix that Tom was quite taken in by was Suketu's version of our popular favorite 'Dhinka Chika'. Cruise spent his time on his flight listening to Bollywood music and he loved Salman's steps to it. This was brought to Suketu's attention who promptly played the song esepcially for Cruise.

The Ghost Protocol lead actress Paula Patton took to the dance floor to Suketu's next remix for 'Chammak Challo' and urged Mumbai to come out and party.

Salman Rides Down A Nostalgic Road

He was gifted an Audi but it was a Herald and Fiat that stole the show. Here’s a tidbit of nostalgia from an emotional Salman Khan, who was presented with an Audi Q7 by the German car manufacture for using it in his last hit film Bodyguard.

While Khan was being handed the keys, he waxed nostalgic and later, when we asked him what he was thinking, he said, “I was thinking of my first car, a Herald, which Mr Rishi Kapoor had used in the film Zamana written by my father. After the shooting was complete, I got the car for myself. It was in terrible shape. There was no flooring board and the brakes weren’t working so we stacked stones inside to keep the car from rolling when we parked it.

“Next, I had a bike assembled. I bought some parts from stuntman Dilawar Khan and some from my friend Salim, who also used to do stunts in films. The bike took eight months to be assembled. One day, when Salim spotted me riding on the bike, I told him that this was the bike he had contributed to with some parts. The very next day, the bike was gone. Salim had used it for a stunt at Film City and it was R.I.P.”

Next, Khan says, he bought a “Mercedes-shaped Fiat”. He reveals, “I swear I pushed the car more than I drove it. It was the same car that was used in Maine Pyar Kiya. Later, when I was shooting Baghi, Sohail sold that car. But I don’t think aisa kuch hoga with the Audi Q7.”

Salman Khan is fair to all: Shradha Sharma

This Saturday saw the eviction of yet another girl from the TV show Bigg Boss 5 in the form of actor Shradha Sharma, whose claim to fame has been her relationship with actor Raja Choudhary.

Talking about her stay, the 27-year-old says, “Honestly, I was expecting that I would win the show.
I got a lot of love and affection from the inmates, which made my stay memorable. There are no regrets what so ever. The show has made me a much more mature person.”

She adds, “There are a lot of people in the house who are playing a dirty game, such as Sky. I was neutral and tried to stay away from controversies, as I don’t believe in getting into fights.”

Interestingly, Sharma was quite demure and quiet at the beginning of the show, but as the show progressed, she was seen giving abuses, shouting and getting aggressive. “I behaved like that because of a few contestants who were always looking for reasons to irritate me, especially Pooja Bedi. I showed my displeasure when people crossed their limits,” she says.

This season of Bigg Boss has been also controversial because of the reported allegations that anchor Salman Khan is favouring actor Mehak Chahal. As to her take on the issue, Sharma says, “Salman is fair. He’s always told the participants about what’s right and what’s wrong. The idea that he is unfair is completely false.”

Farhan Akhtar wants to work with childhood friend Salman Khan

After working with Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar says he is keen to work with his childhood friend Salman Khan.

The 37-year-old knows Salman from his childhood days, thanks to their fathers, the scriptwriter duo Salim-Javed.

"Salman and I have spent a lot of time together and we were really good friends. He was really supportive and caring towards me and Zoya just like he was towards his own brothers," said Farhan in the capital Saturday, attending the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit.

"We have spoken on many occasions to get Salim and Javed back. We have spoken about doing a film together too. It would be great if we do it. I will be all in for it. I really want to do something with him," he added.

Farhan, who is all set for his next project "Don 2" to hit the screens Dec 23, also reveals his parents have never pressurised him and have always been supportive.

"My parents have never pressurised me or Zoya. They have never poked any of us, saying your treatment is not correct or anything. They are happy that we have independently made a name for ourselves and are passionate about our work," he said.

Farhan, who has directed films like "Dil Chahta Hai", "Lakshya" and "Don" franchise, admits one should never take audience for granted.

"The most important lesson I have learnt being in the industry is that one should never take the audience for granted. People need to do their work by telling the story and not think and assume that our audience is intelligent enough to understand the details. It is the effort that needs to be made to be accepted and recognised," he said.

Salman files complaint with FWICE against Vijay Galani

Last year Salman Khan had sent a legal notice for non payment of dues amounting to Rs. 15 crores to Veer producer Vijay Galani. But Vijay has not yet paid him the amount and nor has he responded to the notice. Finally, after waiting for more than a year, Salman has now filed a complaint with the Federation Of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) for the same.

But Galani has not even responded to this complain and that has made Salman really furious as he now wants to have a one on one meeting with the producer. The president of FWICE, Dharmesh Tiwari has also written to Association of Motion Pictures & T.V. Programme Producers (AMPTPP). Now it is in the hands of AMPTPP of which Vijay is a member, to decide what is to be done.

The story goes that last year Vijay had asked Salman to slash his fee after Veer flopped, he told Salman that he had made huge financial losses and since Sallu had also written the script, he agreed to cut down his fees drastically. But Galani struck a deal with Eros and made a profit. Galani had apparently painted a wrong financial picture of the movie to Salman. When Salman came to know that Galani has been flaunting a profit on the movie, he felt cheated decided to take legal action.

Kangna officially in Salman's camp

Becomes the brand ambassador of Sohail Khan's cricket team

Kangna Ranaut's recent inclusion as brand ambassador along with Salman Khan for his brother Sohail Khan's celebrity cricket team, Mumbai Heroes, is a clear indication how firmly entrenched Kangs is in the Khan-daan.
Sallu's Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha is the other brand ambassador of the team.
Kangana ranaut
The actress has been roped in ahead of the celebrity cricket league matches slated to be played in Sharjah in January. Her inclusion was accompanied with Kangs' statement, "I don't know much about cricket. I was a science student, so I never got much time to play. I'm here to support my friends."

What she was referring to was Salman the friend she can rely on presently. As a source puts it, "After her recent fall out with Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan, Kangna finds herself disassociated with all those who are close to them. So her friendship with Salman matters even more."

The Sallu-Kangna bonding is, however, not new. She managed to make inroads into his inner circle a while back. He had even planned to cast her in his home production to be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.

The only time there was buzz about tension between them was when she did not make it to his Being Human event last year where most of the leading Bollywood actresses walked the ramp for Sallu's charity.

But the star did not hold it against her. He made it a point to attend her birthday party in March this year and Kangs was also spotted visiting him late night on the sets when he was shooting for a film at Filmistan Studios.

Salman and Vivek in race for sequel

It's all about getting the sequel to the theatres first. Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi are both vying to get the sequels to their respective children's flick in place. Fast.

We don't know if Vivek Oberoi was inspired by Salman Khan to produce a children's film. But the two stars who love to hate one another, are now locked in a battle to the finishing-line with their two prized products for children.

Vikas Bahl's Chillar Party which was co-produced by Salman and Mangesh Hadawale's Dekh Indian Circus which was co-produced by Vivek Oberoi are locked in a strange and unexpected fight to the finish.

Though Chillar Party was completed and released much before Dekh Indian Circus, the two films have been competing for the same eyeballs in different parts of the world. The climactic flourish for both the films was at the just-concluded International Children's Film Festival in Hyderabad where both Salman and Vivek's films won top awards.

Both the stars were expected to make an appearance at the Festival, but stayed away apparently presuming the other would be present.

Says a reliable source, "It's become a matter of tremendous pride and prejudice to both stars. Both Salman and Vivek love kids and are extremely happy with the film that they've produced and the way it has progressed at film festivals."

And now both the films are gearing for sequels, apparently both determined to make it into theatres first. According to a source, Salman and Vivek have both urged their directors to do a sequel A.S.A.P in order to get into theatres first.

Chillar Party director Vikas Bahl confirms he's scripting the sequel to Chillar Party 2. "Salman is on board for the sequel. He will be helping us with the sequel in every way possible."

Ditto Vivek who has informed the director of Dekh Indian Circus that the sequel should be done as fast as possible. Confirms the soft spoken simple director Mangesh Hadawale, "Yes, I am doing a sequel to Dekh Indian Circus. It's called Ranveer. And yes, Vivek is very much on board."

Big hearted Salman Khan forgives Pooja Bedi

MUMBAI: Pooja Bedi, after her eviction from Bigg Boss had gone on a rampage with her opinions on Twitter & press interviews.

She had earlier said that Bigg Boss is all scripted, and Salman Khan is controlling it to protect Mahek Chahal, who according to her is his favorite contestant.

She even called Salman Khan a two-faced liar, and Mahek a vulture, while showering praises on fellow contestant Akashdeep Saigal (Sky). Pooja Bedi was even seen fighting with her Twitter followers who would negatively comment about Sky. She even went on to say that Salman had turned violent over Sidharth’s fight with Mahek, which was not aired on TV.

Pooja Bedi’s comments agitated thousands of Salman Khan fans on internet, and comments against her floated all over the social network.

Meanwhile Salman Khan, who is known for his big heart tweeted, “Don't stress abt it, known pooja since 20yrs, she is sweet , let it go. Its all good.” (sic)
